Fatima Begum, a mother of three, used to struggle to make ends meet as a street vendor. After joining Simu-BD's microfinance program, she received a small loan to expand her business. Today, she owns a thriving grocery shop and employs two other women from her community. Her children are now attending school regularly.

Rahima Khatun received training and a microloan from Simu-BD to start a goat rearing business. Starting with just three goats, she now has a herd of twenty-five. She has built a new home for her family and sends her daughter to college. Rahima also trains other women in her village on livestock management.

Abdul Jabbar, a small-scale farmer, learned modern farming techniques through Simu-BD's agricultural program. With a small loan, he invested in quality seeds and irrigation equipment. Shahnaz Parvin learned tailoring at Simu-BD's vocational training center. With a microloan, she bought two sewing machines and started her own tailoring shop. Jahanara Begum was trained as a community health worker by Simu-BD. She now provides basic healthcare services to five villages, conducts health awareness sessions, and refers critical cases to hospitals. Her efforts have significantly reduced child mortality rates in her area. She also runs a small pharmacy with support from Simu-BD.
